Welcome John Thompson!

It's a boy!  We welcomed John Thompson Monday morning, July 2, at 7:58am.  He weighed 7lbs 7ounces and was just under 21inches long.  He is absolutely precious! 

We gave Andie a disposable camera in her "big sister kit" and she had a ball taking pictures.  I can't wait to see them!  I'm sure there will be a lot of shoes and walls, but she had so much fun with it...I hope she gets a least a few of John Thompson.

Andie was SO excited!  She loves her little brother and is a very eager big sister. 

I hate that Andie's eyes are so funky in this picture, but it's the only one we got of our family of four!

In case you can't read the burp cloth, it says, "Sorry for spittin' up, thought I saw a Gamecock" One of Darrell's coworkers gave it to us and it has been a big hit!  We, of course, had to get a picture with it.

A 4th of July Homecoming!  Andie was so excited to have her baby home.  She read to him, "pet" him, loved on him, and sang to him.

This picture melts my heart, so I saved it for last!  My two precious babies!  Andie all of a sudden seems so big to me, but she will always be my little girl, my Andie Bug.  Now we get to figure out what to do with little boys and we couldn't be happier!  Let the new adventure begin!

What We've Been Up To

Mt. Horeb Vacation Bible School!  Andie had a blast!  She's been singing "You Can Trust God" nonstop ever since.

 Snuggling with Daddy on Father's Day!  Andie, Baby Scott, Copper and I are so blessed to have this amazing man in our lives!  He leads and cares for our family like a superhero!

 Blueberries!  So, I know I've said I love our house, but I also love our yard!  The back yard has a fig tree and blueberry bushes.  Sunday we picked blueberries for the first time!  Andie did great picking only "the really blue ones."  We got half a tupperware container full, and they are so yummy!

While I was taking pictures, I had to take one of my gorgeous hydrangeas!  Like I said, I love my back yard!

 And Dance Camp!  Ok, so I can't believe my Bug is big enough to go to VBS and camp!  But she loves it!  I love that she is not timid, shy and scared to do things on her own (like I was).  The first day of Dance Camp, she was ready to go...she kept saying, "Come on Mom, it's time to go.  Come on, let's go." 

She had such fun!  Sweet girl, just loves life! 

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby Scott.  2 weeks or less until he or she makes his or her appearance!  Darrell and I are both taking the time to enjoy Andie in all of her glory and sweetness!  Andie is excited, too.  She spent the weekend in Edisto with G and Papa and apparently asked G, "Mom will call us if the baby comes, right?"  Sweet girl is going to be a great big sis!

For her birthday, we gave Andie a Barbie Jeep!  She thinks she is big stuff.  Of course, we are still working on the basic driving skills...like not running into the bushes...but she loves it!

Happy Birthday Andie!

Our Sweet Andie Bug turned 3!  We had a very fun and laid back birthday party at our wonderful Lexington Virginia Hylton Park.  The kids played on the playground and then ate some yummy cake and ice cream and blew bubbles and ran around.  The weather was perfect.  A lot of Andie's sweet friends came to celebrate with her.  I can't believe she's 3!!
