Funny Bunny!

Andie and I were lucky enough to get to spend last week at Edisto.  It was great to get to spend some time with the family and enjoy "beach life."  We also "prepared" for Easter....
Playing with the huge bunny!  Andie loves stuffed animals.

 She also loves to "clean."
Helping Copper get in the Bunny spirit. :o)
Needless to say, Copper was not thrilled.
The two pictures above are Andie this Easter and Andie last Easter.  I can't believe how she looked like such a baby then and now so much like a little girl!

 Sweet girl!

Dying Easter Eggs.  And right now, everything is "my self!"  so it was interesting.
But you can see, she was very proud of her eggs.

Girls' Weekend!

A couple of weekends ago, a group of great friends got together to celebrate the near arrival of Baby Elsken.  We all went to Clemson together.  It was so nice to have everyone together...all ten of us!  What a treat to spend good quality time with the girls you love.
We arrived Friday evening and ate a delicious dinner that Julie and her husband prepared for us.  Then we slept in a little and lounged around drinking coffee and catching up.
We then had a yummy and fun shower for Julie.  Everyone brought the yummiest food!
 Loved these beautiful "onesie" cookies.
Beautiful ladies! Allison, Julie, Dawn, and Stephanie
Julie excited about her first shower.
A swaddling lesson from Sarah, whose 2nd little boy was born most recently.
Julie got a lot of really cute and fun things!  Not to mention, she looks adorable!
The girls (and Finn)!  Julie asked us to wear pink or blue in honor of what gender we think Baby Elsken will be...you can see we were a front porch divided.

And I had to take pictures of Julie's beautiful home!  They had gorgeous flowers and plants everywhere!  Not to mention we were within walking distance of Augusta National.

Girls, I miss you already!

Warm Weather Fun!

With the recent warm weather, we've enjoyed playing outside and even broke out the "ladybug sprinkler!"  Andie and her friends had a blast playing in it...and drinking out of it!  Priceless!

Andie and her Uncle Jed

This is Andie and her Uncle Jed.  John Edward is my baby brother (7 years younger) and I love and adore him...and so does Andie.  I just love this picture of the two of them.  Let me tell you a little bit about my baby brother.  First of all, he's not a baby anymore...he is quite the young man.  He is such a great guy, always kind, considerate, responsible, and self-less.  He is so great!  I love him to pieces and am sure he doesn't know how much he means to me.  I am so proud of all he does and who he is.  We love you Buddy!  Thanks for being such a great little bro and fabulous uncle!

Things We're Loving Right Now!

Can you see a little bug hiding behind the love seat?
 I see you!
 "Peek-a-boo!"
Andie loves to wear her tutu, anytime, anywhere.  She also loves to play in pillows and covers.  And she LOVES to wear Mama's shoes all around the house.

...they don't even have to match!
Andie also loves to have all of her stuffed animals and baby dolls in her crib when she sleeps....looks a little crowded to me! :o)

Birthday Festivities

This past weekend was quite eventful.  We started off in Summerville for the Azalea Festival, then down to Daniel Island and Charleston for the Cooper River Bridge Run, then continued the fun in Charleston Saturday night to celebrate Kappy's birthday at Rue de Jean.  It was so much fun to spend the weekend with Megan, Kappy, Meg, Aunt Jeannette and Mom.  Mom and Darrell tag-teamed Andie so I could do it all!
 Family Pic
With everything going on, Andie was quite on schedule, so she fell asleep on the way to dinner.  When she woke up, and we went into the party, she was not the happiest of campers. :o)  So...Darrell and I played along...."Our Serious Faces"
Me and my baby girl....who is so grown up!  Notice the bow in her hair!
 The girls
Andie loved getting to see her Aunt Megan!  Isn't Megan beautiful!!  We love you!
Andie also loves her Kappy!  And she loves that Kappy lets her watch videos on her phone!  Here's Thomas and Andie getting spoiled rotten in Kappy's lap.  It was her birthday...she could do whatever she wanted!  But aren't those faces sweet.
 Love it!
A fun group!  What a great night. Kappy, thanks for having a birthday so we could party!  The girls (and Jed) enjoyed a night out at Midtown on King St.  It was so much fun!  A great weekend, even if I'm still catching up on my sleep!

Playground Fun

At G and Papa's house, there is a playground right on the other side of the fence.  It's great!  We can walk out the front door, down the little path right to the park.  Andie loves to go there.
Down the path...
Only a fence separates G's backyard from the path.  As you can see, the dogs follow along with us.  Here's Copper sticking her nose out of a hole in the fence at Andie.
This picture is for Papa and Uncle Jed...Andie on the digger!  It's in her blood. :o)
Big girl swing!
 G and Andie swinging.
Mama and Andie on the big purple dinosaur!
Trying to figure out the round-about thing...and loving it!

 Monkey bars...with G's help.
Just hanging out!  I think this picture is hilarious!
Sweet girl!  Andie loves to slide.
Log running...with G's help...again!
And this is the dogs...Copper and Griff.  They looked under the fence and whined the entire hour and a half we were at the park playing.  Silly dogs.  There were even other people there taking pictures of them.  haha!
