The Ladies of Small Group

The guys had a nice Valentine's treat for us Sunday evening at bible study...shrimp cocktail and cookie cake!

And THIS is What I Found....

On Saturday morning, when I went in to get Andie, this is what I found. The little stinker was standing up just-a-talking to herself. And when she saw me, she just smiled, as if to say, "I'm so proud of myself!" Our baby girl is growing up! She is 9 months old now, and crawling all around, and enjoying crawling. But she really wants to walk, and will really fuss to get you to stand her up and hold her hands and walk her around. So funny!

Fun in the Snow

We got 7 inches of beautiful snow in Lexington on Saturday.

Andie wasn't quite sure what to think of the cold, wet, white stuff, but she enjoyed watching the dogs and big kids play in it.
Andie standing next to Mr. Snowman. The Darnell's did a great job building such a big snowman!

Snow!

We've got snow in Lexington! And there is a lot of it! We had fun playing in it earlier...and as you can see, the boys (grown up boys) are enjoying standing around a fire in the driveway...silly boys!
Andie all bundled up ready to go play in the snow. Right after I took this picture, she fell right over and couldn't move. She's our little snow bunny.

Recent Pictures

Our precious baby girl now has quite the personality. She does not hesitate to let you know when she is not happy. This picture was taken just after I took a teething cookie away from her, and boy was she mad at me!
Crawling, playing, and smiling. She was so happy last night before she went to bed.

I got sick this week, so Mama G, my amazing mother, came up to help out with Andie. Thanks Mom! I love you and appreciate you coming up! Andie bug LOVES her Mama G!

I love this picture with their matching colored outfits. My heart just swells up when I just look at this picture. I love these 2 so much!

At the Zoo with Friends

On Monday, our great friends, the Eptings, were in town. So, Hannah, Mary Catherine, and I bundled up the kiddos and headed to the zoo. The kids had a great time visiting with each other and seeing all of the animals....and the moms had a blast visiting with each other, too!
Photo opp in front of the tiger. Sweet Andie bug in her lamb hat. I love it!
And this one is with all of the little munchkins. Caroline didn't like being taken out of her comfy stroller. They are the sweetest group of kids. And all born in May. This May is going to be a busy one!

Andie talking and moving her hand around, like she always does.
Caroline talking to Andie. I always wonder what it is they are saying. Maybe, "Hey friend, what do you think about that gorilla?"

James loved it! And then it came right up to the glass, wow! They are such incredible creatures. What a great time with wonderful friends!

A Wonderful Weekend

Darrell and I spent the weekend in snowy Asheville to celebrate DT's 30 birthday! We sent Andie and Copper down to Summerville to stay with Mama G and Granddaddy and we headed up to Asheville on Friday. It was so much fun and relaxing. The bad weather limited our activities, but it was beautiful, and like I said, relaxing. Below are some pictures of the hot tub at our cottage and the snow in the front yard.

More Pictures and Milestones

As I was posting the last post just a few minutes ago, Andie crawled for the first time! It was all hands and knees, slow and unsteady, but she did it! It was also not straight but diagonal in direction, but she reached her destination...Copper's tail! Yay Andie! Yikes Mom and Dad!
Loving those beautiful eyes.
Trying to get some teeth relief, so funny!

Just playing.

Reading one of her favorite books. Andie LOVES books! She loves to be read to and sung to.

Andie is now 8 1/2 months old and so much fun. She is talking and singing up a storm. She loves to play with Copper and go and do anything and everything. She is about to cut her top 4 teeth which are really giving her a fit. I cannot believe our precious baby girl is going to be 1 year old in 3 1/2 months! It just amazes me how fast she is growing and how much she is learning. If you ask her to give you a hug, she'll do it...and it is the sweetest, bestest hug ever! If you ask her where your nose is, she will grab it! She's a genius! Well, we might be a little bias. ;o) She is just a joy. I love this adventure known as life that we are so blessed to live.

Kisses!

Andie's new thing has been to make a fishy face and make kissy noises over and over again. This weekend, Darrell and I tried really hard to get a picture of her doing it. It is hilarious and puts us in stitches every time she does it!

Crawling...Sort of - Standing...Falling

In position...but not so sure what to do...
so she just goes for it! With a plunge forward, it's progress.

But we are much more interested in standing a walking. But as you can see....

We haven't mastered that either. (Please don't judge me for choosing to take the picture instead of trying to catch my sweet girl...I don't think I would have had time to catch her anyway. She laughed at herself as soon as she realized she was ok. :o)
